Finance Manager – Social Enterprise

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance function of SOS Social Enterprise, a profit‑making subsidiary of SOS Children’s Villages in Ethiopia. The role oversees financial operations across schools, furniture manufacturing, rentals, dairy farms and future ventures, ensuring compliance, transparency and sustainable growth. It supports the enterprise’s dual objective of generating profit while delivering a social purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an annual budgeting and forecasting cycle for the enterprise.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls across all business lines.
• Monitor resource utilisation and promote efficient financial stewardship.
• Guarantee compliance with Ethiopian regulations and SOS internal policies.
• Support the sustainable growth of branches by providing timely financial analysis and guidance.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a full finance function in a multi‑sector environment.
• Commitment to SOS’s safeguarding principles, including adherence to Child & Youth Safeguarding Policy and anti‑fraud regulations.
