Fleet and Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Fleet and Maintenance Manager will lead the day‑to‑day management of New Company’s vehicle fleet and related equipment in Addis Ababa. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures that all vehicles are reliable, safe, and available to support core operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise all routine and corrective maintenance activities.
• Coordinate repairs with external service providers and parts suppliers.
• Monitor vehicle performance, downtime, and maintain accurate service records.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes to reduce costs and improve reliability.
• Lead and coach maintenance staff, managing workloads and performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in a maintenance or fleet environment.
• Technical training or a diploma/degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Fluent spoken and written English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
