Junior Developer, System Analyst & Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Guba Technology is seeking motivated fresh graduates and early‑career professionals for three entry‑level positions: Junior Developer, Junior System Analyst, and Junior Cybersecurity Engineer. All roles are full‑time, based in Addis Ababa, and designed for candidates with little or no professional experience.

Key responsibilities

• Junior Developer: Assist in building web, mobile or enterprise applications, write and test code, and support API integration.
• Junior System Analyst: Gather and document business requirements, create basic system diagrams, and support analysis of software processes.
• Junior Cybersecurity Engineer: Monitor security alerts, assist in vulnerability assessments, and help maintain secure configurations of Linux and network devices.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, C#.
• Familiarity with frameworks/libraries like Node.js/NestJS, React.js/Next.js, PHP/Laravel.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive web development.
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and RESTful APIs.
• Version control using Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• Basic concepts of Docker and clean code practices.
• Knowledge of UML, flowcharts, and system documentation (advantage).
• Fundamental cybersecurity principles, networking basics, Linux operating system, and security tools (advantage).
