Lecturer – Full‑time Academic Position in Addis Ababa

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Lecturer to join our academic team in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality lectures, conduct research, develop course materials and mentor students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and seminars to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• Conduct academic research and contribute to scholarly publications.
• Create and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments and assessments.
• Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to improve the overall learning experience.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in the relevant subject area.
• Excellent teaching and public‑speaking abilities.
• Experience in curriculum development, academic planning and course design.
• Proficiency in research methods, academic writing and publication processes.
• Ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
• Strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
• Master’s degree or higher (doctoral degree preferred).
• Prior teaching experience in higher education is an advantage.
• Familiarity with modern teaching tools and learning management systems is a plus.
