MEP BIM Modeler

About the role

The MEP BIM Modeler will join AZAD DESIGN BUILD PLC in Addis Ababa to develop, coordinate and maintain Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) models within a BIM environment. Working on‑site, the professional will ensure that all MEP models are accurate, clash‑free and aligned with architectural and structural designs, supporting the delivery of high‑quality construction documents.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify and detail 3D MEP models using Revit.
• Coordinate MEP models with architectural and structural teams to detect and resolve clashes.
• Produce consistent construction drawings and documentation for design review and construction.
• Maintain model revisions, organize model data and uphold project BIM standards.
• Support continuous improvement of BIM workflows and contribute to project efficiency.

Required profile

• Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, architecture or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read, interpret and produce clear construction drawings.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, specifically Revit.
• Understanding of MEP systems and their integration within building designs.
• Experience creating and managing coordinated 3D building models.
