Mobile Application Developer

About the role

We are building a secure digital payment and mobile banking platform that will allow users to send and receive money, pay bills, manage wallets and access a range of financial services through their smartphones. As a Mobile Application Developer you will join a cross‑functional team to create the Android and iOS client that powers this service.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native and cross‑platform mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Implement core payment features such as wallet management, money transfers, bill and merchant payments, transaction history and QR‑code payments.
• Integrate banking APIs, payment gateways and third‑party financial services securely.
• Apply strong authentication, encryption and fraud‑prevention measures to meet financial‑industry standards.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, UI/UX designers and product owners to deliver high‑quality releases.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimise performance and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing mobile applications.
• Proven track record building fintech, digital‑wallet or mobile‑banking solutions.
• Experience working on projects similar to Telebirr, CBE Birr or Dashen Bank Mobile is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Flutter, React Native, native Android and iOS development.
• API integration and payment‑gateway integration.
• Database management for mobile apps.
• Mobile security best practices, including encryption and fraud prevention.
