Ops & Reporting Manager – Ethiopia & Nigeria

About the role

The Ops & Reporting Manager will oversee financial operations and reporting for both the Ethiopia and Nigeria business units. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures accurate month‑end closing, cost accounting, and compliance with internal controls across the two markets.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end costing runs, sales and production closings, and prepare monthly flash files and balance‑sheet schedules.
• Manage accruals, rebates, distributor claims, payments, and annual credit limits for all entities.
• Prepare operating cash‑flow statements, monthly amortisation true‑ups, and A&M submissions.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers in SYSPRO, coordinate capitalisation, disposals, and periodic physical verification.
• Conduct risk‑assessment sessions with process owners and implement control improvements for I2C, Agro and Fixed Assets processes.
• Partner with plant managers and functional heads to analyse cost drivers and identify savings opportunities.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely submission of required information.
• Identify automation and efficiency opportunities within reporting and control functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing financial reporting and control for multiple entities.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work across cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with month‑end closing, cost accounting and fixed‑asset management.
