About the role
We are looking for a proactive Sales Development Representative to generate new business opportunities in the sustainable engineering and clean‑technology sector. You will work remotely as an independent contractor, focusing on outbound prospecting and pipeline creation for a fast‑growing sustainability‑focused client.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach and follow‑ups.
- Identify and engage potential clients interested in sustainability, ESG, renewable energy and clean‑tech solutions.
- Generate qualified meetings and opportunities for the sales team.
- Research target companies, sustainability initiatives and industry trends to personalize outreach.
- Maintain accurate records in a CRM system and keep the sales pipeline up‑to‑date.
- Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and outreach strategies.
- Consistently meet or exceed activity and meeting‑booking KPIs.
Required profile
- 2+ years of experience in sales development, business development or outbound B2B sales.
- Previous experience in sustainable engineering, renewable energy, ESG, environmental consulting or related fields.
- Strong understanding of sustainability challenges and ESG initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with a reliable internet connection.
Required skills
- Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Familiarity with prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo or Outreach.
