Senior Accountant – Tax & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Accountant to lead tax and compliance functions within our finance team. The role combines full‑cycle accounting with deep expertise in Ethiopian tax regulations, supporting both on‑site and remote operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting processes, from bookkeeping to financial reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) tax regulations.
• Prepare, file, and reconcile VAT, withholding tax, and income tax reports.
• Handle payroll processing and related tax obligations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and perform regular reconciliations.
• Support external audits and financial inspections.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Collaborate with management on financial reporting, cost control, and strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in technology or IT companies.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage payroll and tax filings accurately.
