Senior Audit Quality Assurance Expert (SNKE – Audit 10)

About the role

DAI is seeking a Senior Audit Quality Assurance Expert to support Ethiopia's Office of the Federal Auditor General (OFAG) under the EU‑supported EUSPRE programme. The expert will lead the development of a Quality Assurance Manual (QAM) and Working Papers, and deliver targeted training to senior audit staff.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct consultations with the Technical Facility Unit (TFU) and OFAG working group to define scope and produce an inception report with a detailed work plan.
• Design and produce three training modules covering Quality Management Systems, Quality Assurance functions, and QAM development.
• Develop the Quality Assurance Manual and associated Working Papers in line with ISSAI 140, ISQM 1 and ISQM 2 standards.
• Deliver classroom training using case‑study methods to senior auditors, directors, and audit teams.
• Provide practical exercises and guidance to ensure compliance with international audit quality standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in audit quality assurance and quality management systems.
• Familiarity with ISSAI 140, ISQM 1 and ISQM 2 standards.
• Proven ability to develop audit manuals, working papers, and training materials.
• Strong communication skills for delivering trainings to senior audit officials.
