Senior Driver for SunGold Project

About the role

RTI International is seeking a Senior Driver to support the SunGold project, a five‑year USDA Food for Progress program in Ethiopia. Based in Arbaminch, the driver will ensure reliable transportation for staff, visitors, and project goods while maintaining the assigned vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the project vehicle safely for official trips, client transport, and delivery of goods and documents.
• Pick up and drop off personnel at the airport, assisting with immigration and customs procedures as needed.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tires) and routine maintenance.
• Carry out minor repairs, arrange for larger servicing, and keep the vehicle clean.
• Log trips, mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, and maintenance activities accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Proven experience as a driver in a professional or project setting.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Finance and Administration Officer.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Required skills

• Safe driving and navigation.
• Vehicle maintenance and basic automotive repair.
• Record‑keeping of mileage and fuel usage.
