About the role

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Medicine professional to join our team in Arba Minch on a full-time, on-site basis. The role involves delivering high-quality medical care, treatment and surgical services to a variety of animals while providing guidance to owners and caregivers.

Key responsibilities

• Assess animal health through examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries and chronic conditions.
• Perform routine and emergency veterinary surgeries.
• Provide preventive care, vaccinations and health advice.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering compassionate support and clear instructions.

Required profile

• Veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) with appropriate licensure.
• Strong knowledge of animal care, health and welfare.
• Ability to handle routine and emergency surgical procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in health crises.
• Prior experience in a veterinary setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
