Web Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Web Developer to join our on‑site team in Ethiopia. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining WordPress‑based websites that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain WordPress websites.
• Customize WordPress themes to align with design specifications.
• Create clean, responsive, and user‑friendly layouts.
• Install, configure, and customize WordPress plugins.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into functional designs.
• Ensure website performance, security, and basic SEO best practices.
• Test websites across browsers and devices for consistent behavior.
• Develop front‑end user interfaces and implement back‑end functionality.
• Integrate APIs and optimize sites for speed, accessibility, and security.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with WordPress.
• Proven ability to design and layout websites.
• Strong experience customizing WordPress themes.
• Experience installing and customizing plugins.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Ability to test and validate designs across browsers and mobile devices.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow design specifications.
