L2 System Support Engineer

About the role

TOPPAN Security is seeking a full‑time L2 System Support Engineer with 3–5 years of hands‑on IT system support experience. You will act as the escalation point beyond first‑line support, handling complex issues across networking, servers, firmware and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2 technical support, resolving escalations from L1 across software, systems and hardware.
• Install, configure and upgrade software, drivers and firmware on servers, workstations and network devices.
• Diagnose and resolve networking problems, including connectivity, routing, DHCP and LAN/WAN issues.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Analyse system, application and network logs to identify root causes and guide remediation.
• Document procedures, SOPs, runbooks and knowledge‑base articles.
• Lead or contribute to incident root‑cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional IT system support experience (L1/L2 level).
• Strong troubleshooting and log‑analysis skills.
• Ability to produce clear, structured documentation.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Team‑oriented, calm under pressure and good time‑management.

Required skills

• Linux system administration (command line, services, permissions).
• Windows Server administration, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Core networking concepts, DHCP, static routing, LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
• Firmware and driver installation and upgrades.
• Version management and software deployment.
• Basic scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and familiarity with ticketing/ITSM tools.
