Project Sales Specialist – Building Materials

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Project Sales position is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The professional will generate new project‑based opportunities for building materials by engaging directly with contractors, architects, consultants and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Visit construction sites to identify material needs and present proposals.
• Prepare, present and negotiate sales proposals, terms and contracts.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, providing product information and technical support.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, material availability and timely delivery.
• Monitor market trends, collect competitive intelligence and produce regular sales reports and forecasts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project sales of building materials or related construction products.
• Strong communication, customer service and negotiation abilities.
• Solid project‑management capability to handle multiple bids and client accounts.
• Knowledge of construction industry procurement processes.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a KPI‑driven environment.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Willingness to work on‑site and travel to client locations within Addis Ababa and surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using CRM or sales‑tracking tools.
