Junior Customer Service Officer

About the role

Bunna Bank is seeking a Junior Customer Service Officer to join its branch network in Ethiopia. The role includes a six‑month rotational training program across model and operational branches, providing hands‑on experience in banking policies, customer service, and back‑office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to customers at the counter, open new accounts, issue passbooks and cheque books, and maintain account registers.
• Promote and sell bank products and services, recruit new customers, and generate sales leads.
• Build and maintain relationships with merchants, agents, and branch clients.
• Process cheque deposits, file banking documents, and support the Customer Service Officer I.
• Reconcile daily ATM, POS, and merchant transactions, balance branch books, and settle suspense accounts.
• Follow branch banking procedures and NBE directives, participating in resource‑mobilisation activities.

Required profile

• First degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance, or related fields.
• Training or certification in MIS, IT, or related areas is advantageous.
• No prior experience required – entry‑level position.
