Project Manager – Humanitarian Programs

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a qualified Project Manager to lead the Hope, Empowerment, Resilience (H.E.R.) project in its Assosa field office, Ethiopia. The role involves overseeing programme staff, coordinating with consortium partners, and ensuring the project supports displaced populations affected by the Sudan conflict.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the project in line with donor compliance, theory of change, and the overall vision.
• Provide leadership across the full Project Cycle Management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Collaborate with the MEAL team to establish robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems, including impact evaluation.
• Ensure all activities and deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and according to the signed agreements.
• Maintain and regularly update work plans in partnership with the project team and consortium members.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead integrated, multi‑sector teams and engage a wide range of stakeholders, from community members to UN agencies.
• Forward‑thinking, creative approach with a commitment to learning and adaptive management.
• Experience with inclusive system approaches and gender‑transformative programming.
