Senior Human Resources Officer – 5-8 years experience

About the role

KADISCO General Hospital is looking for a dynamic Senior Human Resources Officer to lead modern HR operations and strategic workforce management in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. The role supports the HR Director and drives digital HR transformation, employee engagement, and talent development.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the HR Director in implementing strategic HR initiatives and workforce planning.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, talent acquisition, and onboarding processes.
• Maintain and optimise HR ERP systems and digital employee databases.
• Generate HR dashboards, analytics, KPI reports and conduct workforce trend analysis.
• Lead employee experience improvement, performance management and competency‑based evaluations.
• Support succession planning, talent development, and staff training programmes.
• Oversee employee engagement, wellness, retention, recognition, attendance, overtime, leave and payroll‑related activities.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian Labour Law, hospital policies and internal procedures.
• Drive HR automation, digitisation and process‑improvement projects.
• Handle disciplinary cases, grievance management and employee relations professionally.
• Participate in accreditation, audit preparation and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop and update HR policies, SOPs, organisational structures and support manpower planning.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian Labour Law and hospital HR practices.
• Proven ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
