About the role
The Accountant II provides comprehensive financial support for trainings and workshops, ensuring all transactions comply with MSH policies, donor regulations, and applicable tax requirements. The role also assists the finance unit during audit processes.
Key responsibilities
- Review and file financial documents (JVs, PVs, deposit vouchers) and ensure completeness for approvals.
- Process payments, manage receipts, and ensure timely settlement of staff and subcontractor advances.
- Support training events by handling registration, attendance records, and per‑diem settlements.
- Assist with audit preparation, document organization, and compliance reviews.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field.
- Experience with USG‑funded projects and familiarity with USG rules and regulations.
- Experience reviewing partner and subcontractor/grant documents is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with QuickBooks for journal entry and transaction recording.
- Knowledge of VAT processing, payroll benefits, and tax withholdings.
