Administrative Assistant – Data Center Operations

About the role

The Administrative Assistant will support smooth operations at Bitdeer's data center in Ethiopia by acting as the main liaison between the site, local government, and external partners. This role combines office administration, procurement, and data reporting to ensure the facility runs efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate communication and translation between the data center, local authorities, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate power supply matters with the substation manager and ensure compliance with federal policies.
• Liaise with Ethiopian Telecom and Safaricom for internet and network services.
• Procure food, beverages, and other necessities for expatriate staff.
• Track project progress, negotiate deadlines, and follow up on implementation.
• Maintain and update internal data sets; conduct daily, weekly, and monthly analysis and reporting.
• Handle correspondence, emails, and phone inquiries professionally.
• Support HR functions, including employee records, recruitment assistance, and team‑bonding activities.
• Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and maintain office supplies inventory.
• Assist with invoicing, expense tracking, petty‑cash management, and occasional driver duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong communication skills; bilingual in English and Afaan Oromoo is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs).
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to perform data analysis.
