About the role

The Child Protection Officer will provide technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for child protection programmes in Ethiopia, from development planning to delivery of results.

Key responsibilities

Support the design, implementation and monitoring of child protection projects within the Country Programme.
Facilitate partnership development and coordinate with UN and other humanitarian actors.
Conduct monitoring, evaluation and review processes to ensure programme effectiveness.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in International Law, Psychology, Social Work, Human Rights, International Development or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in child protection planning and management.
Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.
