Copywriter

About the role

Droongo System Solutions builds technology that helps businesses operate and grow, covering finance, sales, inventory, manufacturing and operations. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Copywriter in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to write clear, engaging and brand-consistent copy for marketing campaigns, product pages, websites, emails and social media.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and edit content for marketing campaigns, product pages, website content, email communications and social media.
• Shape messaging for new features and solutions and collaborate with marketing, product and sales teams so copy matches business objectives.
• Create press releases and other PR materials.
• Proofread and refine existing content for accuracy and tone.
• Take part in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to creative strategies.
• Maintain a consistent voice across all channels.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in marketing and press releases to support campaigns, product launches and brand awareness.
• Familiarity with B2B technology or SaaS products is an advantage.
• Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative environment in Addis Ababa.

Required skills

• Strong writing and proofreading skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong command of written English, able to tailor tone and style to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and respond constructively to feedback.
