Digital Systems and Analytics Specialist

About the role

The Digital Systems and Analytics Specialist will support the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of digital systems, databases, reporting platforms, dashboards, and analytics tools for the America First Global Health Strategy and Supply Chain Strengthening projects. Reporting to the M&E Digital Systems and Analytics Manager, the role ensures data quality, security, and effective use across TB and supply chain portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain project databases, digital data collection platforms, dashboards, and analytics tools.
• Implement data architecture, system integrations, metadata repositories, and data governance standards.
• Conduct routine data quality control, verification, validation, and support data quality audits.
• Develop and update dashboards, scorecards, GIS products, and other visualisation tools.
• Provide technical support, training, and documentation for users of digital systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, health informatics, MIS or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 3‑5 years experience implementing and supporting digital data collection, database management, analytics, and reporting systems.
• Fluency in English and Amharic; willingness to travel within Ethiopia.

Required skills

• Power BI (DAX, Power Query, RLS) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Python for data cleaning, automation, ETL and statistical analysis.
• Experience with digital data collection platforms such as DHIS2, SurveyCTO, Kobo Toolbox, REDCap, Open Project.
• Proficiency with statistical tools (R, STATA) and GIS applications (QGIS).
• SQL database management and familiarity with LMIS, supply‑chain information systems.
