Direct Purchasing Specialist – Maternity Cover

About the role

We are looking for a Direct Purchasing Specialist (Maternity Cover) to join our Manufacturing Services team in Addis Ababa. This early‑career position offers hands‑on experience in procurement of raw materials, spare parts and technical services, supporting smooth and timely purchasing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the conversion of Purchase Requests into Purchase Orders.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on procurement activities.
• Follow up on purchase orders, shipments and documentation.
• Maintain procurement‑related records and system data.
• Assist in import and purchasing processes.
• Prepare procurement reports and track order status.
• Support supplier communication and procurement projects.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing & Supply Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Up to 1 year of relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain or a related field.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and work in a fast‑paced environment.
