Driver – Horti‑LIFE GREEN GROWTH Project

About the role

SNV is seeking a reliable driver to support the Horti‑LIFE GREEN GROWTH project. The driver will transport staff, visitors and project‑related items while ensuring safety, punctuality and proper vehicle upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the assigned vehicle, including cleaning, fueling, checking inventory (first‑aid kit, spare tire) and reporting any damage.
• Drive passengers and deliver errands within the project area, adhering to traffic and safety regulations.
• Perform routine vehicle checks (oil level, tyre pressure, etc.), identify technical issues and carry out minor repairs or arrange service with a garage.
• Maintain a detailed logbook of trips, fuel consumption, incidents and ensure vehicle insurance and taxes are up‑to‑date.
• Plan transport schedules, coordinate with other drivers, and liaise with suppliers and garages for maintenance and services.
• Support logistical tasks such as picking up and delivering documents, packages or messages between offices.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Proven experience in professional driving and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to keep accurate records and follow administrative procedures.
• Strong awareness of safety and traffic regulations.

Required skills

• Vehicle inspection and routine maintenance.
• Basic mechanical repair (oil change, tyre pressure adjustment, minor fixes).
• Fuel management and inventory checking.
