Driver Mechanic – Level 4

About the role

World Vision is looking for a Driver Mechanic (Level 4) to deliver safe and reliable transport services for its operations in Ethiopia while ensuring the fleet remains in optimal condition through routine maintenance and minor repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full‑range transport services for the organization, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and routine servicing, including tire rotation, oil and filter changes, greasing parts, bulb replacement, and fluid top‑ups.
• Maintain accurate preventive‑maintenance records in line with FM policy.
• Inspect vehicles regularly, report mechanical issues to supervisors, and ensure all accessories, logos, and safety kits are intact.
• Keep buses, vans, and cars clean, fueled, and ready for use.
• Maintain logbooks and fuel consumption records, safeguard keys, tools, and spare tires.
• Monitor vehicle performance, submit maintenance requests promptly, and follow up on repairs.
• Prepare and submit monthly vehicle usage reports.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of related experience in vehicle maintenance or driver‑mechanic roles.
• Education: 12th grade or TVET Diploma (12+2).
• Valid third‑grade driving licence.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing both Amharic and English.
