Finance and Investment Department Manager

About the role

The Finance and Investment Department Manager will lead the financial operations of the insurance business, ensuring accurate accounting, regulatory compliance and strategic investment oversight. Reporting to senior management, the role combines technical accounting expertise with leadership of a dedicated finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities, including general ledger, month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and local insurance accounting regulations.
• Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements for the investment portfolio.
• Coordinate with internal auditors and external auditors to guarantee audit readiness.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate finance staff, fostering a high‑performance environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
• Proven experience in insurance accounting and IFRS reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Accpac accounting software or equivalent core insurance solution.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
• Expertise in insurance accounting processes.
