About the role

Kibur College, an independent private higher‑education institution, is seeking a dynamic leader to head its Business Management Department. The successful candidate will provide strategic academic direction, oversee daily operations, and drive continuous improvement in teaching, research, and student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the academic and administrative functions of the Business Management Department.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff.
• Coordinate curriculum development, review, and quality‑assurance processes.
• Ensure compliance with national higher‑education standards and institutional policies.
• Promote research, case writing, and academic innovation.
• Monitor student performance and implement strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
• Prepare departmental plans, budgets, and regular reports.
• Strengthen partnerships with industry, professional bodies, and employers.
• Support student advising, internships, and graduate employability initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (MBA/MSc) or PhD in Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a closely related field from a recognized university.
• Excellent academic record with a very good GPA.
• Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience in higher education.
• At least two (2) years of academic leadership or administrative experience.
• Strong record of research, publications, and business case writing.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and quality assurance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical and financial management competence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using educational technology and digital learning platforms.
