National Project Officer (Reintegration and Economic Inclusion)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Ethiopia seeks a National Project Officer to lead reintegration and economic inclusion initiatives for vulnerable returnees and host communities. This role will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of Community‑Based Reintegration (CBR) and Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) activities, contributing to sustainable livelihoods and social cohesion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee CBR interventions that strengthen local absorption capacity and promote access to services.
• Manage EDF activities, including enterprise support, market linkage facilitation, and private‑sector engagement.
• Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders to ensure alignment with national protection strategies.
• Monitor project performance, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops and knowledge‑sharing sessions for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in social sciences, development studies, economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management within migration, reintegration, or livelihood programmes.
• Strong understanding of protection principles and community‑development approaches.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
