Packaging Maintenance Planner

About the role

We are seeking a Packaging Maintenance Planner to manage maintenance systems, spares, and schedule routine and planned maintenance for our packaging operations. The role ensures permits are in place, supports maintenance teams, and drives continuous improvement across the asset‑care program.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead planned‑maintenance pre‑meetings, defining work scope, problems to address and resource needs.
• Plan and prioritize all required work on the maintenance schedule, including ad‑hoc tasks.
• Determine resource requirements, assign tasks, and coordinate with departmental heads to secure necessary personnel and equipment.
• Support the maintenance team during execution, assist with problem solving, work prioritisation and resource re‑allocation.
• Reschedule incomplete work, capture data in maintenance systems, and lead post‑mortem reviews.
• Apply structured problem‑solving methods to issues arising during routine or planned maintenance.
• Ensure legal compliance, safety tasks, and maintenance KPIs are met.
• Develop weekly and yearly maintenance budgets and control spend.
• Oversee cleaning days, annual shutdown programs and asset‑care standards.
• Manage spares availability, identify training needs and analyse SAP data to recommend schedule improvements.
