Senior Outside Sales Delegate (M/F)

About the role

AGL Logistics Ethiopia, a multimodal logistics operator with eight sites across Ethiopia, is hiring a Senior Outside Sales Delegate in Addis Ababa. The role drives new business growth, maintains strong relationships with existing clients and expands the company's market presence in the logistics and supply chain sector. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and target potential clients and generate leads through cold calls, networking, referrals and industry events
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue growth objectives
• Build long-term client relationships and act as the main point of contact, covering the sales process from first contact to contract negotiation and delivery
• Promote logistics services such as freight forwarding, warehousing, customs brokerage and transportation, and present them to clients
• Collaborate with operations, customer service and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and customer needs, and provide market feedback to senior management
• Maintain sales records and pipeline in CRM systems, and prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports and forecasts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in marketing management, logistics, management or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the logistics sector, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets
• Experience in a multinational company is preferred
• In-depth knowledge of international logistics, freight forwarding, customs regulations and supply chain solutions
• Understanding of Incoterms, import/export documentation and global trade compliance

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, with strong organisational and time-management skills
