About the role

The Permanent Representation of the OIF in Addis Ababa is looking for a six‑month intern to support political, peace, governance and security monitoring across Africa. The position offers hands‑on experience in research, analysis and briefing preparation within an international, multilingual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in producing political, institutional and security monitoring notes, especially on issues examined by the African Union that affect the Francophonie.
• Research, analyse and draft briefing documents on governance, peace and security topics.
• Write meeting minutes and synthesis reports.
• Support the organisation and follow‑up of events hosted or attended by the Representation.
• Contribute to other activities linked to OIF priorities and its partnership with the African Union.
• Undertake any additional research needed for dossiers and notes.

Required profile

• National of an OIF member state and legally able to stay in Ethiopia for the internship period.
• Enrolled in a higher‑education programme (preferably Master’s) in law, political science, international relations or a related field, with the institution able to sign an internship agreement.
• Strong interest in OIF activities, African political issues, peace, governance and security.
• Excellent written and spoken French; good command of English is an asset.
• Demonstrated research, analytical, writing and synthesis abilities.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to work both independently and in a multicultural team.
