Accountant – Bilatie

About the role

The Accountant will work under the general supervision of the Finance Supervisor to ensure accurate financial recording, control and reporting for the Leaf Operations Center (LOC). This role supports wet leaf purchasing, grower payments, banking activities, reporting and compliance with company policies and HQ financial requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process all payments, including BPVs, ensuring proper support, approval and accurate recording in the system.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor bank balances, report to HQ Treasury and resolve any discrepancies.
• Control and purchase wet leaf from growers, monitor input distribution, prepare vouchers and ensure timely payments to farmers.
• Manage per diem and travel advances, ensuring timely settlement and proper documentation.
• Verify inventory and production data before submission to HQ Leaf Finance, coordinating with production and logistics teams.
• Review vendor invoices through three‑way matching (PO, GRN, Invoice) and follow up on discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to HQ, covering payments, farm input, wet leaf purchase and bank reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
