Planning Specialist I - Head Office, Addis Ababa

About the role

Dashen Bank is looking for a Planning Specialist I for its head office in Addis Ababa. The role covers internal and external analysis and the preparation of long-term and short-term plans in line with the bank's strategic goals, as well as analysing organisational performance and reporting on progress.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse internal and external factors and prepare long-term and short-term plans aligned with the bank's strategic goals
• Analyse organisational performance to ensure planned goals match strategic goals
• Prepare periodic reports giving feedback and recommendations for improvement

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management or a related field
• At least six years of post-qualification experience

Required skills

• Goal setting and cascading: defining clear expectations and breaking them down into smaller goals aligned with strategy
• Environmental analysis: conducting situational analysis using PESTL and SWOT to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
• Data analysis: examining historical financial data such as gross and net profit margins to project future performance
• Strong collaboration, communication, adaptability, customer centricity and data-driven decision-making
