B2 Certifying Engineer (Airline Maintenance)

About the role

Air Arabia is recruiting a B2 Certifying Engineer through an invitation-only engineering recruitment event in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in mid-November 2026. Candidates should apply only if they can attend the event after being shortlisted and invited; event details are shared only with shortlisted candidates. The engineer carries out and supervises line and base-level maintenance on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft under CAR 66 'B2' licence category, certifying and recording work accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Maintenance Manager before starting work, understanding priorities, documentation and cautions.
• Prepare and perform scheduled maintenance, obtaining the right documentation, parts, tools and ground support equipment.
• Carry out test and inspection tasks to identify and record defects or damage, and troubleshoot and rectify them using Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
• Sign off completed tasks, confirming task cards and documents meet the required standard.
• Coordinate with other engineers and technicians, and manage handovers and human factors to protect the continuity of critical tasks.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed, protect yourself and others, and provide sound supervision of technicians.
• Support other operational teams, represent Air Arabia professionally to flight crews and customers, and minimise waste of consumables and parts.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience certifying maintenance on the Airbus A320 family of aircraft.
• At least 5 years' experience in a base or line maintenance environment.
• Availability to attend the recruitment event in Addis Ababa in mid-November 2026.
