Cabin Engineer - Ethiopia Recruitment Event

About the role

Air Arabia is holding an invitation-only Engineering Recruitment Event in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in mid-November 2026. This Cabin Engineer vacancy is linked to that event: candidates should apply only if they can attend the event in Addis Ababa, subject to being shortlisted and invited. Event details such as venue, date, timing and interview schedule will be shared only with shortlisted candidates before the event.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out and supervise cabin appearance base-level maintenance on Air Arabia and third-party aircraft within the corresponding license category, certifying and recording work accurately and on time.
• Verify that cabin appearance components are compatible and ready according to approved standards, and review task cards with the Workshop Supervisor before starting work.
• Prepare and perform scheduled cabin appearance maintenance, obtaining the right documentation, parts, tools and GSE.
• Inspect components to identify and record defects, then carry out rectification in line with approved data and Engineering Department instructions.
• Sign off maintenance tasks performed or supervised, verify that task cards are complete, and coordinate with other engineers and technicians.
• Manage safety, taking mandatory precautions, using protective equipment and protecting people from injury.
• Handle human factors by avoiding interruptions to critical tasks and using handover procedures.
• Support other operational teams, give sound supervision to technicians and present a professional image to flight crews, other companies' personnel and customers.
• Keep cost awareness, minimizing waste of consumables and part repair costs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a similar workshop role, with at least 2 years as a qualified maintenance technician on the Airbus A320/A321 family, or at least 4 years in base or workshop maintenance.
• Valid EASA/GCAA/CAA/ICAO Maintenance Engineer's licence is an advantage.
• Ability to obtain a driver's licence in the work location.
• Very good command of English for technical communication.
