Business Development Officer

About the role

Droongo System Solutions builds technology that simplifies and connects business operations, offering an integrated ecosystem for finance, sales, inventory, manufacturing and operations. It is hiring a full-time, on-site Business Development Officer in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect potential clients, qualify leads and support the development of tailored solutions for their needs.
• Conduct market and competitor research, and prepare proposals and presentations.
• Collaborate with internal teams so that offerings match client requirements.
• Maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients and support contract negotiations.
• Track performance against sales and growth targets.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders, gather customer feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of products and services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Experience in B2B technology, SaaS or enterprise solutions sales is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Addis Ababa, manage multiple priorities and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• New business development: prospecting, lead qualification and opportunity management.
• Analytical skills and finance knowledge to interpret data, assess business cases and support pricing or revenue projections.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
