Copywriter

About the role

The Copywriter will work full‑time on‑site in Addis Ababa, creating clear and engaging copy for Horra Trading’s marketing campaigns, product descriptions, corporate communications and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Research brand and market insights to inform messaging.
• Draft and edit press releases, marketing content and product descriptions.
• Develop messaging for coffee export and related business units.
• Ensure all content aligns with Horra Trading’s brand voice and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support promotional initiatives.
• Maintain consistency across written materials and adapt content for local and international audiences.

Required profile

• Strong writing, proofreading and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Previous copywriting experience, preferably in export, FMCG or international trade.
• Ability to research industry trends and translate insights into effective messaging.
• Excellent time‑management and attention to detail, with capacity to handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
