Corporate Accountant / Procurement Officer

About the role

A Grade 3 general contractor undergoing institutional restructuring is looking for an elite, autonomous professional to join its core team and help lead its operational expansion. The position is full-time and in-person at the Addis Ababa corporate headquarters, reporting directly to the Managing Director and the Five Star Consultancy Audit Board.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all corporate financial ledgers
• Vet procurement vendors
• Handle tax regulatory reporting so that financial transparency and budget adherence are ensured

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Minimum 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in the construction or industrial supply sector

Required skills

• Expert-level use of Peachtree/Sage and ERP software, and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial modeling)
• Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws (VAT, withholding, income tax) and annual regulatory audit filings
• Cost-benefit analysis for project procurement
