CTO / Lead Engineer (Remote, Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a highly technical engineering leader who can dive into existing projects, make strong technical decisions, and guide a small, high‑performing team. This hands‑on position combines individual contribution with leadership, focusing on building and integrating AI‑powered products.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture and technical direction for backend and full‑stack systems.
• Design, build, and integrate AI/ML‑powered features into production products.
• Work with large language models (LLMs) and modern AI tooling to accelerate development.
• Jump into active projects, ship production‑quality code quickly and reliably.
• Lead, mentor, and raise the engineering bar for developers.
• Debug complex issues across systems and infrastructure.
• Adopt AI‑assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).
• Collaborate closely with product and leadership teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production software development experience.
• 2+ years leading engineering teams or acting as a tech lead.
• Strong backend engineering background; full‑stack experience preferred.
• Proven track record integrating AI/ML models into production applications.
• Experience with LLM APIs, AI agents, embeddings, or RAG systems.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases and work independently.
• Excellent English communication and strong ownership mentality.
