Driver and Protocol Clerk (G3) – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Driver and Protocol Clerk (G3) provides safe and reliable transportation for the UN Women Special Representative to the African Union, UNECA and other senior officials, while supporting protocol and administrative tasks within the Liaison Office in Addis Ababa.

Key responsibilities

• Operate UN Women vehicles to transport the Special Representative, senior staff, visitors and mission personnel securely and punctually.
• Maintain confidentiality, discretion and adherence to protocol and security guidelines during all trips.
• Assist with standard protocol procedures, including preparation of itineraries, visitor reception and documentation.
• Support administrative duties such as filing, record keeping and coordination with other UN agencies.
• Provide driving services to programme staff, consultants and experts as required.

Required profile

• Professional and courteous attitude with strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse national and cultural backgrounds.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of UN protocol and security requirements.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s license for the vehicle class used by UN Women.
