Education Evaluation Technical Consultant (6.5 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Technical Consultant to support the strategic transition of the Access to Education output into a programme approach in Ethiopia. The role is office‑based in Addis Ababa with travel to stakeholder workshops and partner meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and facilitate a high‑level workshop with government, donors and partners to gather input on the draft evaluation report.
• Present education components of the EU Education Project at the dissemination workshop.
• Review, finalise and incorporate the evaluation report into the EU donor report.
• Consult with stakeholders and draft the education section’s management response to the evaluation.
• Provide technical education inputs to the evaluation unit for the upcoming Access to Education evaluation.
• Coordinate communication and liaison with donors, government and partners.
• Prepare a transition plan for moving Output 2 from project to programme management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social sciences, education or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years experience in project coordination.
• At least 3 years experience working with EU grants.
• Experience with UN agencies is preferred.
• Fluency in English; Amharic is desirable.
