Ethiopia Program Support Intern

About the role

One Acre Fund's Internship Program offers paid, substantive internships to high-performing African graduates. This Ethiopia Program Support Intern supports the Expansion team's logistics, keeping scheduling, recruitment administration and records up to date. The internship takes place in Addis Ababa and is open to Ethiopian citizens, permanent residents and origin cardholders.

Key responsibilities

• Field and scouting logistics: prepare trip logistics with the Coordination Lead (vehicle bookings, lodging, travel schedules, per-diem calculations), submit advance requests and settlements, prepare contracts, attendance sheets and payment requests for temporary enumerators, guides, translators and drivers, maintain the daily security check-in log and follow up procurement requests.
• Recruitment and onboarding administration: post job ads, shortlist candidates, schedule written exercises and interviews, book venues, organise hiring events and onboarding sessions, and keep the recruitment tracker updated.
• Team scheduling and information flow: maintain the team calendar, schedule internal meetings, Steering Committee meetings and stakeholder visits, take meeting notes and circulate action items.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (recent graduate).
• Clear written and spoken English and Amharic.
• Organised follow-through and attention to detail, especially with numbers and financial documents such as per diems, receipts and settlements.
• Willingness to travel to rural areas, including overnight stays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Google Workspace or MS Office: Sheets/Excel (data entry, sorting, filters, basic formulas), Docs, Gmail and Calendar.
