Event Executive – Planning, Sales & Operations

About the role

Platinum Events Management is seeking a passionate and results‑driven Event Executive to join its dynamic team in Addis Ababa. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality corporate gatherings, gala dinners, exhibitions and other high‑profile social events from concept through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute diverse events, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to quality standards.
• Identify new business opportunities, pitch event services, acquire new accounts and drive sales to meet company targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors and partners.
• Manage on‑site operations, vendor coordination, timelines and logistics for flawless event delivery.
• Prepare compelling proposals, quotations and presentations for prospective clients.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, Hotel Management, Tourism or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in event planning, sales or operations, preferably in hospitality or events.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Professional appearance, high integrity and a team‑player mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with digital communication tools.
