Financial Accountant

About the role

The Financial Accountant will join Fetan ICT and Advertising in Addis Ababa to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with Ethiopian regulations. This full-time, on-site position supports budgeting, forecasting and tax filing while collaborating closely with management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely and compliant financial reporting.
• Monitor cash flows and reconcile bank and account balances.
• Assist with tax and regulatory filings.
• Provide financial analysis to management and support internal controls.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and accounting software usage.

Required profile

• Strong finance knowledge with proven experience in financial reporting.
• Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Advanced analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Practical experience with accounting software and digital tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Ethiopian tax regulations, local accounting standards and compliance requirements.
• High attention to detail, integrity and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively on-site.
