Full Stack Software Developer (2 Positions)

About the role

Paperless is seeking two enthusiastic Full Stack Software Developers to join its engineering team in Addis Ababa. You will contribute to modern digital solutions that support government transformation, enterprise platforms, and AI‑driven applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications.
• Develop responsive front‑end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Implement secure back‑end APIs and business logic.
• Design and optimise relational databases.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers and fellow engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and troubleshooting production issues.

Required profile

• Passionate about full‑stack development and delivering real‑world impact.
• Ability to work onsite in a collaborative, growth‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Python.
• Experience with React or Next.js.
• Experience with Node.js (Express or NestJS) and/or Laravel (PHP).
• Knowledge of RESTful API design.
• Familiarity with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization and security best practices.
