Grants and Partnership Specialist

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Grants and Partnership Specialist to support the management of grants, partnerships and consortium arrangements for its Addis Ababa Country Office. Reporting to the Grants and Partnerships Manager, the specialist will ensure donor compliance, high-quality reporting and effective collaboration across programme, MEAL, finance and supply-chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support end-to-end grant management, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, contractual obligations and reporting timelines.
• Draft, review and process project agreements, sub-agreements, teaming agreements, MoUs, amendments and no-cost extensions.
• Coordinate donor reporting with programme, field, MEAL and finance teams, maintaining accurate grants trackers and action plans.
• Facilitate project kick-off, monitoring, review and close-out meetings, documenting and following up on action points.
• Manage partnership processes including partner mapping, due diligence, onboarding, agreement development and close-out.
• Support consortium coordination, communication and sub-grant management with international NGO partners.
• Contribute to reporting quality, institutional knowledge management and capacity-strengthening initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in grant management and donor compliance within humanitarian or development programmes.
• Proven ability to work across multidisciplinary teams (programme, MEAL, finance, supply-chain).
• Experience in partnership and consortium coordination, including due-diligence and agreement administration.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills to track milestones, amendments and deliverables.
