Head of Finance

About the role

Mesroy International PLC, a leading importer of medical items and pharmaceuticals in Ethiopia, is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its financial operations. Based in Addis Ababa, the role is full‑time and on‑site, reporting directly to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and reports.
• Monitor sales income, expenses and cash flow to ensure financial health.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and internal policies.
• Develop and manage budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Provide strategic financial recommendations to support business growth.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering effective stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in financial statements and reporting.
• Strong background in budgeting and financial planning.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of finance principles and practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector is a plus.
