Hub Implementation Manager

About the role

Jhpiego is seeking an experienced Hub Implementation Manager to lead the decentralized execution of its Strategic Assistance Project for Health Workforce Competency and Quality Improvement in Ethiopia. The role coordinates hub teams, monitors progress, and ensures alignment with project milestones and government plans.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the approved project work plan into realistic hub-level implementation plans, timelines, targets and budgets.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of Hub Managers and implementation staff, ensuring safety, compliance and effective communication.
• Monitor and track hub performance against milestones, deliverables and partner commitments, escalating bottlenecks to senior leadership.
• Maintain consolidated trackers of partner deliverables, risks and corrective actions, and provide regular progress updates to the Technical and Project Directors.
• Facilitate joint quarterly review meetings, documentation of lessons learned and adaptive management actions.
• Build and sustain collaborative relationships with Ministry of Health, Regional Health Bureaus, higher education institutions and professional associations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Public Health, Health Workforce Development, Health Policy, Medicine, Nursing or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience leading complex Human Resources for Health (HRH) programs.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑partner projects, coordinate regional teams and align activities with government strategies.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills to monitor implementation performance and drive corrective actions.
