Investment Officer – Addis Ababa

About the role

The Investment Officer will act as a trusted partner for Inkomoko Ethiopia’s entrepreneur clients, guiding them through the full investment lifecycle and ensuring successful loan disbursement and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to prospective borrower inquiries and support application for investment products.
• Introduce investment products, explain repayment terms and debt responsibilities.
• Conduct investment appraisal, collect personal, business and guarantor information, and open new investment accounts.
• Prepare and execute investment contracts, arrange disbursement of funds in kind, and coordinate site visits for due‑diligence.
• Communicate all materials to the Investment Manager and assist in preparing credit reports for Investment Committee meetings.
• Capture entrepreneur photos, obtain waivers, and ensure accurate stories are posted on the Kiva platform.
• Provide excellent customer service through daily conversations, correspondence and regular site visits to manage the portfolio.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct thorough due‑diligence and investment appraisal.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
• Detail‑oriented approach to preparing contracts and credit documentation.
• Customer‑focused mindset to maintain ongoing portfolio relationships.
